This Privacy Policy describes how Lead Economy LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Lead Economy," "we," "our," or "us"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the website located at app.leadeconomy.com and the Lead Economy platform accessible through it (collectively, the "Site"). It applies to insurance agents, and other business users who visit the Site, register for an account, or purchase leads through the platform, and to other visitors to the Site.
Scope note. The Site is a business-to-business platform. This Privacy Policy governs the personal information of Site visitors and platform users. It does not govern our collection and processing of consumer data that is generated through our consumer-facing properties and distributed as leads through the platform; that processing is described in the privacy notices presented on the applicable consumer-facing properties. If you are a consumer whose information was submitted through one of those properties, please refer to the privacy notice on the website where you submitted your information, or contact us at the address below.
1.1 Information You Provide. We collect information you provide when you register for an account, configure your profile, purchase leads, or communicate with us, including: name; business name; mailing address; email address; telephone number; state insurance producer license number(s) and state(s) of licensure; carrier appointment information; and the contents of your communications with us.
1.2 Payment Information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We collect limited billing information such as billing address, payment card type, the last four digits of your card, and transaction history. For accounts billed by ACH, we collect bank account and routing information through our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
1.3 Information Collected Automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect: IP address; device type, operating system, and browser type; pages viewed, links clicked, and other usage data; referring URLs; approximate (city-level) location derived from IP address; and identifiers collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, as described in Section 4.
1.4 Information from Third Parties. We may receive information about you from third parties, including identity and license verification services, state insurance department public records, payment processors (such as payment confirmation and fraud signals), and analytics providers.
2.1 We use personal information to: provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site and the platform; create and administer accounts; verify identity, licensure, and carrier appointments; process payments and maintain billing records; deliver leads and provide customer support; send transactional and account-related communications; send marketing communications where permitted by law and subject to your opt-out rights; monitor, detect, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our agreements, including the Lead Purchase Terms; comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or with your consent.
3.1 We disclose personal information to: (a) service providers that perform services on our behalf, including hosting, payment processing, identity and license verification, analytics, customer support, and email delivery, in each case under contracts restricting their use of the information; (b) our affiliates and related companies for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy; (c) professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers, where necessary; (d) law enforcement, regulators, and other parties where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the safety of any person, or the integrity of the Site; (e) a successor or acquirer in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case personal information may be transferred as a business asset; and (f) other parties with your direction or consent.
3.2 No Monetary Sale of Platform User Data. We do not sell the personal information of platform users for monetary consideration. Depending on your state of residence, the use of third-party cookies and analytics or advertising technologies on the Site may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "targeted advertising," under applicable state privacy laws. You may opt out as described in Sections 4 and 6.
4.1 We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and, where deployed, support advertising and remarketing. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may impair Site functionality. Where required by applicable law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device transmitting the signal.
5.1 Retention. We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Site and the platform, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and audit obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain business records, after which we delete or de-identify it. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information and the purpose of processing.
5.2 Security. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
6.1 Depending on your state of residence, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information, subject to verification and to exceptions provided by law: the right to know and access the personal information we have collected about you; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; the right to delete personal information; the right to obtain a portable copy of personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling; and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. Residents of certain states also have the right to appeal a denial of a rights request by contacting us using the information below; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.
6.2 How to Submit a Request. You may exercise these rights by emailing [email protected] or writing to Lead Economy LLC Attention: Privacy, 2175 NW Raleigh Street, Suite 110, Portland, Oregon 97210. We will verify your request using the information associated with your account, and we may request additional information where reasonably necessary for verification. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent's authority and verification of your identity.
6.3 California Notice at Collection. We collect these categories from the sources described in Section 1, use them for the purposes described in Section 2, and disclose them to the categories of recipients described in Section 3. We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit under the California Consumer Privacy Act, Cal. 7.1 The Site is a business platform intended for licensed insurance professionals and is not directed to children.
